RULES AND REGULATIONS VISITORS/ PARENTS & GUARDIANS

  1. School office time 08.30 A.M-01.00P.M and 02.00PM-03.30PM.
  2. All visitors including parents/ guardians must be entertained only in the visitors sprawl (RECEPTION) and during visiting hours only on the specified days mentioned in the school calendar. Entry into the hostel by parents is prohibited.
  3. All visitors must register at the guard house and provide all details and documents as requested by Security before entering the school premises. All visitors must leave the campus by 05:30 pm.
  4. Parents or Guardians can request a meeting with the teacher only with the prior permission of the Principal and should never approach the teacher directly in the classroom.
  5. The students will not be allowed to meet any person except the parents or guardian (as specified in the form).
  6. In case of emergency, visits can be arranged with the Principal’s permission.
  7. In case of emergency exit, after discussion with the Principal, the Warden may issue the gate pass.
  8. Any inquiries regarding their wards by parents must be made to the reception or warden concerned. Specially contacting any other hostel staff is prohibited.
  9. Local guardian employed should have their own residence and shall live in a family environment.
  10. No student will be allowed to become a local guardian to a hostel student of the school.
  11. Parents are required to update the school office if there is any change in telephone number, E-Mails and address.
  12. Parents are requested to check regularly School Website, E-mails, Whatsapp for all official information.
  13. Fee defaulters will not be denied of Examinations and Results withheld.
  14. Notice of withdrawal (T.C) from the school must be given within 30 days of the last date of term. Tuition fees have to be paid for the entire period including notice period. Full fees would be charged for shorter period of notice.
  15. In case of non payment of fees instalments, the hostellers name will be struck off the hostel rolls after a month and it would be treated as a case of automatic withdrawal from the hostel.
  16. It is mandatory that parents/guardians to visit the school on open days to evaluate the academic and holistic progress of your child.
  17. Any application for attending social occasions like marriages, functions or any other eventuality during the school term will not be entertained. Written permission for the above should be obtained well on time.
  18. Leave of absence should be informed at the reception either through phone call or E-mail.
  19. The leave letter shall be written on school diary and be produced to the class teacher on arrival. In case the leave extends more than three days, leave letter has to be submitted to the Principal.
  20. Entry after weekend outings (Open day) will be before 6:00 P.M. on Sunday. No student will be allowed to enter the hostel after 6:00 P.M. The ward must be picked up and dropped back at the hostel personally by the Parent/ Guardian, punctually at the given date and time.
  21. All students must report on the given date after any vacation, failing which they will be fined Rs. 1000/- per day or their admission will be cancelled.
  22. Catholic parents must encourage your child to make confessions regularly (at least once in a month) and attend the Holy Mass and Adoration/Rosary regularly
  23. Parents of the catholic students should submit certificates of Baptism, First Holy Communion (if received), letter from Parish Priest, at least by October to the Vice-Principal in case you wish to have us do the necessary arrangements for the First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation of your child here.
  24. If a student returns after any illness, he / she should bring a fitness certificate, get it signed by the School Doctor/ Nurse and show it to the warden before rejoining the hostel.
  25. The school provides counselling through a trained counsellor.
  26. In case of new admission, avoid making phone calls to the children at least for the first two weeks, if necessary parents can be in touch with the warden or school to know about the progress and welfare of the children.
  27. Parents of students may ring up their wards as per the schedule notified separately.
  28. Parents are expected to cooperate with the School Authorities by enforcing punctuality, regularity, personal cleanliness and discipline by seeing that their children prepare their lessons and by taking active and helpful interests in the activities of the School.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. School students are expected to be appropriately groomed and dressed at all times. It is recommended for the sake of personal hygiene and preventing infestations in the hair that girl keeps their hair cut short. Trimming their hair may be done on Home weekends and long holidays, when they are allowed to visit home. Boys too will keep their hair cut short and tidy.
  2. For senior girls (V-XII) ponytail or plaited hairstyle and for boys buzz cut or brush cut. The fringe, when straightened /combed down, must not hang in the eyes. Expensive jewellery should not be worn to school since they could be lost or stolen.
  3. Wearing tattoos, studs, coloring of hair are strictly prohibited and will invite heavy penalty.
  4. Wrist bands bangles, goggles, fancy pins; Mehandi, etc. are strictly not allowed to be worn in the school. However girls may wear small Bindi and small earrings.
  5. Except for No Uniform Days, School Uniforms of the specified School colours are compulsory. Shirts must be properly buttoned and tucked into trousers.
  6. After school hours, during the games/sports activity periods, students will change into their sports outfit which is the recommended track suit.
  7. After wash and clean up students can change into casual wear, where a pair of jeans and a loose T-shirt is recommended.
  8. In winter, the school uniform has a pullover along with the school blazer. After school hours, students can wear warmer clothes. No casual pullover other than the school provided is allowed.
  9. The academic calendar is divided into 2 terms. There will be vacation breaks for Dusserah, Christmas and summer when children will go home, unless a short excursion or a field trip has been organized where attendance is compulsory.
  10. A student may not be allowed to go out of the school premises for any other reason, unless accompanied by a teacher and other students for a field trip or excursion.
  11. In case of a serious illness, the school doctor will be attending to the child, and if on his recommendation the child needs to be sent home, parents will be informed to come to the school and take the sick child home till he/she recovers.
  12. Two days authorized leave may be granted in a year, for attending a marriage ceremony of a close member of the family-own/siblings, father’s brother/sister and mother’s brother/sister. In case of death of an immediate family member, or a religious ceremony being observed at home for a special occasion.
  13. Disruption of studies during term-time is not encouraged and should be kept to the minimum.
  14. A Compulsory ‘Gate Pass’ issued by the Administration Office is to be produced whilst a student leaves the School Campus.
  15. A student who is returning after an absence is required to bring a letter signed by his parent or guardian giving the date(s) and reason for absence.
  16. Utmost cleanliness must be observed in school premises. Throwing litter, pieces of paper, seeds and skins of fruits is strictly prohibited. Use the dustbins.
  17. Writing or scribbling on walls and desk, benches or anywhere else is strictly prohibited.
  18. Any kind of damage done by pupils to the school equipments, furniture, building, etc. will have to make good and penalty shall be decided by the Principal.
  19. Strict regularity, implicit obedience, politeness, courtesy in speech and conduct and cleanliness of books, dress and person are rigidly insisted upon.
  20. Silence must be observed in the corridors and on the stairs during class hours. They should not be found talking in between periods.
  21. No books (other than Text or Library books), newspapers or periodicals must be brought to School. Any objectionable literature found in possession of the student justifies dismissal.
  22. The school shall not be held responsible for books, money, clothes and other articles that are lost. Students must look after their own things. It is not advisable for pupils to have money, valuable articles or jewellery with them. Harmful or lethal objects should not be brought to school. Beware; it is criminal to carry harmful or lethal objects.
  23. Mobile Phones are not permitted in the school premises. Any student found carrying a mobile phone, the phone will be confiscated and a heavy penalty will be levied on the parents.
  24. Pupils are answerable to the School Authorities for their conduct both in and even outside the School. Hence misbehaviour in public places and conveyance is punishable. Every student should endeavour to keep up high tone of the school, by excelling in good manners and deportment.
  25. Students must not run around inside the school building. They must observe silence while walking through the corridors or while going up and down the staircase.
  26. The School Infirmary is run by full-time registered Nurses. A regular weekly visit by a qualified medical practitioner ensures proper health maintenance of all within the residential school. Their primary functions are to identify, treat, refer, and follow-up students with health problems
  27. It is necessary to change socks daily. Only Sikh students who wear turbans will be allowed to keep a beard. The other boys should be clean shaven.
